College Hobbies

The passions and pursuits that brought balance and inspiration to the college experience at JSU.

Life Beyond the Classroom

College is as much about personal growth as it is about academic achievement. For Perry, the hobbies and interests he pursued outside of class, JSU Club Swimming, and the Marching Southerners were essential to maintaining creativity, balance, and mental well-being during one of life's most intense chapters.

Tech Exploration & Coding

College deepened Perry's engagement with technology. Experimenting with web development, exploring cybersecurity concepts, and diving into the emerging world of artificial intelligence weren't just hobbies, they were previews of a career. Late nights spent coding and troubleshooting built the technical foundation that would support Luzran.

This period also saw Perry developing his skills in web management, which would lead directly to his role as an IT Specialist and eventually to founding his own tech companies.

Reading & Intellectual Growth

Perry's reading habits expanded in college to include business strategy, leadership theory, theology, and neuroscience. This eclectic reading list reflected the interdisciplinary thinking that characterizes his approach to both business and writing. Understanding technology, faith, and human behavior through multiple lenses gave Perry a unique perspective that few in the AI space possess.

Community & Connection

Hobbies in college were also social anchors. Gaming sessions with friends, attending campus events, and participating in faith-based groups provided the human connections that balanced the intensity of leadership roles and academic demands. Perry understood that a full life requires both purposeful work and genuine rest.

Seeds of Entrepreneurship

Many of Perry's college hobbies were, in retrospect, early entrepreneurial experiments. Creating content, experimenting with digital tools, and building small projects were all exercises in turning ideas into tangible outputs. The line between hobby and hustle was always thin for Perry, a trait that serves every entrepreneur well.
